What is the benchmarking project?

For several years now NZWIG has been gathering data from orchards as part of a benchmarking project. The idea is that if we sample enough trees from enough orchards we will get a sense of what performance to expect of trees: growth rate, blight incidence, crop yield. And we can begin to relate performance of trees to different management and conditions.
